Buck The Quo

'Anthem'

Scholar took a trip to Idaho where we filmed a killer set of spots for “Buck the Quo”, J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation’s new initiative encouraging young Idahoans to challenge the status quo and explore all the different post-high school learning options available to them. On reading Drake Cooper’s encouraging and empathetic scripts, we knew immediately that we wanted to cast real people in their real workplaces. We set about researching all the professions that we could showcase to help young people understand they had many non-traditional ways to continue their education and maximize their potential. We saw sunrises, sunsets and everything in between, whilst on location in this diverse and majestic state. We hung out with some pretty amazing people, who shared their inspiring stories for us to document. By simply filming them doing what they know and love in a place that is familiar to them we were able to push their performances and ensure the messaging was both authentic and inspiring.

We absolutely love collaborating with the Foundation and admire everything they are doing to promote education and learning.
