LEGO Education

Spike Essential

Alongside an exciting new product launch, we were thrilled to jump back into Hannah’s story to depict the many lessons LEGO Education teaches through play. This time, we learn more about a younger Hannah and the concepts she learns about force and momentum as she grows. Each stage adds a building block to the creative, confident, and resilient innovator she becomes. We leaned on colorful 2D character animation mixed with CG LEGOs to create a mixed-media world for our story to play out.

To match the younger demographic for this product, we evolved our design style using more primary and saturated colors to create a fresh look while staying true to the original Hannah story.

PROCESS

Imagining Hannah’s younger versions was easy and heartwarming as we aged her down from a bright young teen all the way back to her space-themed crib. We wanted to make sure Hannah’s entrepreneurial spirit shone through even in her earlier stages by including small details and careful easter eggs - and we couldn’t forget her best friend Spike!
