'Holiday Horns'

Hark how the bells! In other words, we were incredibly excited to revisit the Verizon Holiday Promo world. Diving back into the musically-driven festivities and finding a way to refine a world full of choreography and life. From the practicality of our set, to the performances and subtle nod to the clever self-awareness of the brand, we found unique ways to extend the larger brand and continue to add an artful perspective.

We set out to create an organic, living, and malleable set of films that could be crafted and modified as holiday deals shifted and new strategy landed on our plate. It’s a canvas to paint with products and messaging, that retains a richness of color, movement and that warm, cozy holiday cheer. Ahem… fanfare, please!

With a charming wit and a clever nod to the art-directed space, we contrasted the rigidity and tightly formed patterns of marching bands with the fun and energy of animation. Moments that “break form” and give a sly holiday smile alongside the personality of Verizon.

We created a hierarchy early in the process, using our animation brains to consider the “choreography” of supers and how they play off of the live-action. Within these moments, we found opportunities to have playful moments, balanced with impactful beats to land an important bit of copy.
